Job Title: Warehouse Operative role to incorporate Despatch Print Room
Location: LS11 0LR
Rate Of Pay: £11.90 per hour
Shift hours/days: Monday to Friday 0230-1000 and Saturday 0300-0830 = 40.5 hours per week
The Warehouse Operative and print room operative role is responsible for carrying out any role required of them within the warehouse environment. This can range from working in the print room and picking and packing of orders within the automated system, the medical bulk area, the fridge area and secure areas, whilst if required, carrying out roles within the transport environment.
The key accountabilities of the print room operative role is:
- All drop sheets to be ready for the driver to agreed schedule.
- All re-invoicing of PERN’d or missing orders to be completed within timeframe
- All branch schedules to be adhered to on a consistent basis
- The quality of print to be monitored on a daily basis
- Equipment used must be maintained and cleaned on a regular basis
- All equipment failures must be reported to Transport Team Leaders or a Driver Team Manager.
- The appearance of the work area(s) must be maintained to a high standard at all times
- Sufficient replenishment paper must be available for us during the working shifts and for the start of the next shift.
- When required all information fliers and relevant paperwork to be sent with invoices on a regular basis.
- All monitors and reports completed by the end of the shift.
- All failure of invoicing / PERN’s/ drop sheets or other functions that would impeded vehicle departure must be reported immediately.
- All ancillary printing jobs to be completed within the operational windows for the job as per daily deadlines.
- To adhere to all company housekeeping procedures.
- To comply with all company Health and Safety requirements.
- To carry out any reasonable requests as determined by Branch Management.
The key accountabilities of the warehouse operative role is:
- Where required must accurately assemble items from the pick documentation and ensure that the quantity picked is accurate.
- Special care must be taken to avoid damage and the appropriate bin/packaging used – all damages must be reported to the line team leader.
- Any pick face errors must be reported to the line team leaders immediately.
- Any visible errors within the warehouse environment must be reported to line team leaders immediately
- If there is a problem with a particular line / area the line team leader must be informed
- Hospital orders are assembled in the same way but must be given to the hospital checker to ensure accuracy
- Special check orders are assembled in the same way but must be given to the special checker to ensure accuracy
- Medical Bulk orders, Fridge orders & Secure area orders must be picked in the same way however each have specific criteria that will be covered through training
- Any errors must be responded to immediately.
- All unusual quantities in picking process must be brought to the attention of the line team leader
- Any suspected / actual issues relating to an order itself must be reported to the line team leader
- Any issues relating to transport activities must be reported to the line team leader
- Awareness of Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- The warehouse area must be kept clean and tidy and free from rubbish at all times.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Desirable
- Any previous experience of working in a warehouse environment which incorporates administration would be highly desirable

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.
