The impact of your role

The Healthcare Service Line works with Pharmaceutical, bio-tech, medical device manufacturers, and technology companies throughout the project lifecycle from early-stage strategy to the launch of a new product, to product optimization. In addition to custom research, the Healthcare Service Line also works on therapeutic centers of expertise in Oncology, Autoimmune, Virology, and more.

As a Research Manager at Ipsos, you will play a key role in leading and delivering high-quality research projects for our clients. The Research Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional research solutions to our clients. As a strategic thinker and client champion, you will lead research projects from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables that address client objectives and drive business impact. You will leverage your expertise in research methodologies, data analysis, and project management to guide project teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Your day to day:

These are the types of things you can expect to be doing during your day to day, although as Ipsos is a dynamic organisation , this may vary as different opportunities arise:

  • Client Management: Manage multiple clients, maintaining and strengthening relationships through an in-depth understanding of business needs. Be involved in meetings with clients / lead calls to understand key business issues.
  • Data Interpretation: Interpret data findings and provide insights and context for clients. Proactively offer solutions to clients and suggest new analyses
  • Project Leadership: Independently manage and coordinate all aspects of the research process from proposal writing and research design, analysis and interpretation of results through to preparation of reports and delivery of presentations. Maintain a project budget and work with the team to ensure all aspects of the study continue to operate smoothly
  • Financial Management: You will proactively manage project finances, ensuring profitability by putting together accurate costings and monitoring project budgets. You will also contribute to revenue generation by writing proposals and developing client accounts
  • Quality Control: You will review and ensure the quality of all project materials and deliverables, including questionnaires, discussion guides, reports, and presentations.
  • Business Development: You will contribute to business development by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and developing existing client accounts. Help to prepare proposals for client research needs spanning Ipsos Healthcare’s suite of products.
  • People Management: You will take an active role in managing and guiding junior members of the team.

Ipsos UK offers a hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home.

About you:

Background:

  • You have a proven track record of success in market research, with experience managing projects and client relationships
  • Knowledge of the health and pharmaceutical industry is desired and Oncology experience is an advantage.
  • A strong understanding of research methodologies and a passion for delivering insightful results
  • Experience drafting and reviewing materials for the client, e.g. questionnaires and discussion guides
  • You have contributed to revenue generation, e.g. by writing proposals and winning new business and/or developing client accounts
  • You have experience of drafting and reviewing deliverables such as reports, that are impactful
  • You have experience with AI -Based Research Tools

Skills:

  • Strong quantitative analysis skills
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You are a quick learner, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • Financial awareness
  • You are proficient in data analysis software (SPSS, R) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning in Research: Understanding of core AI concepts and their applications in market research, such as predictive modelling, natural language processing for sentiment analysis, and machine learning for pattern identification in data.
  • Travel is mandatory and will range from 5%
