If you enjoy a customer-facing role, we have an exciting role for a Customer Service Executive to join our Saint Gobain Insulation team in Hadleigh, Suffolk.

You will be joining our Customer Service team, answering customer enquiries by phone and email and processing customer orders. You will also have the opportunity to work on department projects to drive improvement within the customer service team. Our extensive range of insulation solutions are marketed under the Celotex and ISOVER brands. You will work a mixture of 3 alternating shifts between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm:

8:00am – 4:15pm – 8:30am – 4:45pm – 8:45am – 5:00pm

What will I be doing in this role?

In the role as a Customer Service Executive, you will contribute towards an excellent customer experience. Committing to the continuous improvement of the customer experience by ensuring all enquiries, orders, and correspondence for the Company’s products are promptly processed in accordance with both the customer’s requirements and Company procedures. Maximise vehicle utilization through inbound and outbound calling to generate sales.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process and progress customer orders ensuring correct and accurate product reference and pricing in line with Company pricing schedules and procedures.
  • Liaise with the Customer Experience Manager and Customer Services Team Leader when special sizes and pricing data is requested to ensure that orders are processed with minimum delay.
  • To ensure that order processing procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • To promptly pass any details of customer complaints to the Customer Services Team Leader, Complaints Coordinator, and Aftercare Specialist.
  • To ensure that all key performance indicators [KPIs] and/or objectives set with your Manager/Director are performed effectively and within target and agreed parameters.

  • Previous experience of order processing systems or database management.
  • Ability to understand technical products and explain them to customers clearly and concisely.
  • SAP knowledge advantageous but full training will be provided.
  • Accuracy is key. We try to have a “right first time” attitude. It is this attitude that is behind our great customer service reputation.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and generally computer literate.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, approachable with a confidence in your telephony skills.
  • Multitasking, timekeeping and attendance a given.
