- WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
- We are looking for co-workers who strive to give an amazing customer shopping experience; co-workers that always put the customer at the heart of everything they do and inspire others to do the same.
- The ideal candidate will have experience – paid, voluntary or at school – of working in a team environment. You will be passionate about learning, and enthusiastic about offering a superb customer experience for our customers. Retail or customer-facing experience is desirable.
- This is a fast-paced role, and so you should have demonstrated experience and a willingness to work in a role where you may be serving many customers – especially at the weekends in-store!
- WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- This role is varied with no two days being the same; one minute you could be on check-outs, and the next minute, you could be assisting customers and providing great customer service in our After Sales / Returns area.
- You aim to create a positive experience for our customers so that they will want to return and shop with us again over time.
- You work together with colleagues in other functions to improve the customer experience.
- Meeting and greeting our customers, assisting customers at the check-outs and returns desk.
- Supporting customers to pay at tills, including scanning items, taking payment, and providing support and guidance at our self-serve scanning area.
- Build loyalty by listening to our customers and using your knowledge of the IKEA product range to offer informed solutions.
