The Sales Executive will be responsible for growing and supporting business to business clients across the United Kingdom. Providing a consultative service, you will be responsible for attracting new clients and advising them on energy efficient business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Organise and manage yourself to produce a productive and effective output of data and appointments via bold and cold-calling
Outbound phone calls to potential customers to promote company products and services in line with customer requirements
Sell services over the phone and arrange face-to-face meetings with potential customers to ensure achievement of sales targets
Recognise and seek opportunities to up/cross-sell additional products and services that the business offers
Pro-actively build, manage, and maintain relationships with clients via face-to-face meetings
Operate and effectively manage our CRM database with all customer contact and information ensuring accurate records are maintained
Keep abreast of developments within the water and utility services markets, provide clients with accurate market information, and share new industry knowledge with colleagues.
Research and prepare information for prospect meetings to identify their requirements to assist with closing the sale
Review your own sales performance, ensuring your and the company’s targets are met or exceeded
Attend external seminars and conferences as and when required
Participate in ongoing training and development and regular performance reviews
Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the company
Adhere to Company and department standards, policies, and procedures to attain and maintain the required competency level to perform the role and to promote a culture where customers are treated fairly, with openness and honesty
Apply company values in all day-to-day activities
You must ensure strong relationships are maintained with colleagues inside and outside of the business, including but not limited to –
New and existing customers
Close working relationship with other members of your department
Colleagues on all levels of seniority within the business
Person specification (Background and skills):
Essential:
Previous experience of business to business selling, including business development is essential
Self-motivated and driven
Willingness to travel across the UK is essential
Ability to build strong, long-lasting professional relationships
Experience of driving sales and new business initiatives
Desirable:
Good understanding of the UK energy and water management markets is desirable
